The second public workshop for the Redstone Arsenal Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) was hosted by the City of Huntsville, in cooperation with the City of Madison, Madison County, Redstone Arsenal, and other project partners on Tuesday, August 21, 2018.  The workshop was held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Madison City Council Chambers, located at 100 Hughes Road, Madison, AL 35758.

This public workshop provided an update on the JLUS project progress, presented the Redstone Arsenal military mission footprints, and allowed the public an opportunity to provide input on the priorities of the compatibility issues identified through this JLUS process. The issues being evaluated are the result of comments and feedback obtained from the JLUS Policy Committee and Technical Review Group (made up of representatives from the jurisdictions, agencies and organizations involved in this project), stakeholder interviews, and public input provided at the first Public Workshop held on October 30, 2017.  At the workshop, participants were able to learn more about existing compatibility concerns and provide input on the actions that should be considered to address them.
